ASU MLK Annual Celebration

Brand Identity
Stationary Design
Motion Design
Tasked by Colleen Jennings-Roggensack, ASU Vice President for Cultural Affairs, and Executive Director of ASU Gammage, the third-year design students each come up with their own brand identity for the annual MLK Celebration at ASU. Each year, the committee hosts a competition for third-year graphic design students to honor Dr. King's legacy through a comprehensive visual strategy. Teams develop branding, print and digital collateral, budgets, and event timelines. Trysten worked in a team of six, and our proposal was selected as the sole finalist, earning top recognition from the committee. Our collateral consisted of bookmarks, stickers, t-shirts, and evite, a website, and digital ads. These designs will be visible for the 2026 celebration throughout all campuses and on the MLK website. [mlk.asu.edu]
